One of the lions is missing
This checkpoint starts you off at the mission. Approach Stanz and Spengler and Zeddemore near the lion statue and watch the fireworks. Once the statue is destroyed, you may follow the others into the library.
Cruster and Crusto
Cruster and Crusto may be scanned starting now -- they are the two ghosts flying around the lobby. Simply follow them around until they do there thing. Once Spengler unlocks the Dark Matter attachement, the other Ghostbusters will leave and allow you to track one of the ghosts in the lobby. Track the ghost (scan it) and follow it to the large reading room once the ghost destroys the gate.
The Book Golem (scan it) is in the big reading room. You can slow the monster down with the stasis beam, but it's far faster to waste it with boson darts, run past its side when it tries to attack, turn, and fire again. Once the golem is weakened enough, pull the head off (like with the kitchen golem) and the monster falls apart.
There she is!
Defeat the Book Golem and follow the Ghostbusters to the next area. The card catalog monsters can be scanned (there are a few of them through the level) but just enjoy the goofiness of following Stanz around.
Not much of a checkpoint -- just more card monsters and follow the others to the librarian ghost.
Zeddemore should radio in news about The Collector and Eleanor Twitty (the Librarian Ghost). Keep threading through the stacks. It won't get old when things continually pop and kill you.
You will be separate from the others for a short while. Keep frosty and kill everything that comes at you. Scan them if you can though-- once the enemy scan is complete, you can kill everything thrown your way.
Stanz will dump into the sorting room. Clear the area for a trap and scan the ghost here. Capture the ghost and follow Stanz to the next area.
The librarian will flee again and leave behind more ambushers. Kill or be killed. Just like if you were in 'Nam.
Hey! Look behind you!
More librarian schtick, although you've more or less caught up to Cruster and Crusto. Scan and grab the remaining ghosts while chasing the librarian. Really -- you're lost? Here? C'mon.
This is the juvenile reading room. For the extra task, simply follow the panda toy around with the PKE meter. Once the accolade pops up, you can leave. There are no other secrets in this area.
Head down to Special Collections, and the librarian will slip by some more. Destroy the bookstand that ambushes your team with extreme firepower. If a flight of book bats flies into you, dodge, or you're as good as dead.
Old Secret Places
Use the PKE meter to find the secret bookshelf. Nothing to it!
Dark and Damp
Head down stairs, waste some more of the book monsters, and if they have shields, pull them off and then roast them (be sure to scan them for entries first). Chase the librarian to the next area.
Trouble with Golems
The furnace or coal golems must be wrangled out once their bodies are weakened. Use the most potent weapon on them, stay clear and blast them. Switch to the capture beam and yank off their heads when done.
Spengler gives you the Slime Attachment before you fight the boss (and enter the second area of the library). Use any money you've saved to power up the slime throwing aspect of the weapon and leave the slime tether alone. Find the librarian, take the book and attempt to leave.
Trap the ghost and some dialogue will happen. The ghost is hard only because it is defended by the books. Destroy the bookstands to get rid of the shield. Once the shield is gone, trap the ghost normally. The next checkpoint occurs after the chat between the eggheads end.
The Other Side
Now here's something you don't see every day. Despite the presence of the other two Ghostbusters, you operate alone in the Ghost World (Gozerian Configuration). Upgrade your proton pack fully (if you haven't before). Use the boson darts to destroy the book golems (alone) and yank off their heads. Once the two golems are dead, you should be able to handle most of the other enemies.
If you are having trouble with the golems, use the teleporters to beam to a new section. This technique places you behind the golems so you can fire on them once or twice before your neutrino wand overheats. Peck them to death with the boson darts and you'll be done.
Across the Bridge
You will meet up with Stanz for a little while after the two Book Golems. Simply approach all portals and if they don't vanish or put you at a dead end (or the same room but in a different spot), you're moving forward (the game is pretty linear in this regard). Use the slime tether on the drawbridge to lower it for use.
Hall of Mirrors
This hall is where you will part ways with Stanz and be able to scan the first Cultist ghost. The ghost is tough but not aggressive. Roam the hallway and use the PKE meter to find where it's hiding (or simply wait for it to appear). The fight isn't tough (unless you are caught in the enemy attack and die), just tedious because of the lifebar. Use the trap to catch the ghost to move out of the room.
Curiouser and Curiouser
More of the same chaos with card catalog soldiers. Don't get killed, as you will be alone in the maze. Stand back, boson dart the monsters, and if you see some monsters far off, you can scan them if you like for the PKE entry.
More book bats and card catalog monsters in the library. This a short but combat heavy section. Don't worry about it. If there is a portal still active behind you, you can also retreat to regenerate your toughness (life).
This is the upside down room and hardly warrants a checkpoint, although there are a few enemies just before. You can't jump off into the void, even if you tried.
You can die from the bat swarm here. Get by by blowing a hole into the bat swarm and sprinting through. On normal or hard, you will instantly die if you touch the bat swarm. Destroying too many bats will also cause a new swarm to replace the old one.
Past the bat swarm, use the slime tether to grab the moving platforms and mend them together. Cross over to the final gate and you will rejoin Spengler and Stanz for the boss battle (you will need slime for it).
Wrath of the Collector
The boss is chiefly deadly up close and if it tries to shockwave you. Stay away and dodge the shockwave when it comes your way. Keep the other Ghostbusters alive so they can revive you, and use the teleporters to escape from Azetlor when he gets close.
To weaken (and destroy) Azetlor, use the slime thrower on the boss' head. It will get rid of enough of the black slime that you can use the boson darts on it to destroy it (although slime will also work). Since the boss is so damn large, use the teleporters to avoid its spinning base and keep everyone alive so they cover you. Once the boss' energy is gone, the stage ends.

Once you've destroyed the stands you'll be allowed to focus on eliminating the librarian. All you have to do is to trap her using standard proton streams. Once you've succeeded in getting rid of the miniboss approach a small levitating sphere and press the action key.
The New York City Public Library was the location of the first ghost encounter. It is located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 42nd Street in downtown New York City.
For most players, the main story campaign in Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will take approximately 8 hours to complete. That's about one day of serious dedication (and not much getting up out of your chair) or a few days of casual play.
Ghostbusters The Video Game features seven stages, each with ghost scans and other secrets to find.
Gozer is genderless (though it first appears as a female in the movie). It was worshipped by the powerful Cult of Gozer. Gozer has two trusted minions, themselves worshipped as demi-gods, that are harbingers and primary agents for its coming, being Vinz Clortho (The Keymaster) and Zuul (The Gatekeeper).
Phoebe Spengler, granddaughter of Ghostbuster Egon saves the day in the latest supernatural sequel. What they don't mention is that heroine Phoebe is neurodivergent, and it is her autistic personality traits that make her a hero. Not to worry, no spoilers here.
